On the sidelines of a recent meeting in Doha of the Working Group on Counter-Narcotics in Afghanistan, Ambassador Ugolini met with Polleak Ok Serei, UNODC Representative for Afghanistan, together with Dr. Chiara Scibetta, expert from the Italian Ministry of the Interior.
Italy has a long-standing tradition of supporting UNODC, rooted in the Italian Government’s commitment to combating drug production and trafficking.
During the meeting, Ok Serei shared the recent report ‘Afghanistan Drug Insights’, which highlights high-risk drug use in the country and underscores the ongoing humanitarian challenges.
