Today, in the second anniversary of the killing of Ambassador Luca Attanasio, who lost his life in an ambush in the Democratic Republic of Congo, along with Carabiniere Vittorio Iacovacci and their driver Mustapha Milambo, the call for applications for new scholarships in memory of the Ambassador has been officially launched in Farnesina.
Mama Sofia Foundation, established by Ambassador Attanasio and his wife Zakia Seddiki, is offering 43 scholarships, under the patronage of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the Ministry of Education and Merit and the Ministry of University and Research, for Bachelor and Master’s degrees with eCampus University and for as many qualifying courses in Italian language.
Out of these, three scholarships will be granted to students from Afghanistan.
The deadline to submit the applications is 5 April 2023.
